DESCRIPTION:Presentations and associated discussions of this year’s meeting will focus on the following topics: \n\nInsight in chronobiology and its impact on PK/PD and drug development\nMake man transparent: application of imaging techniques in biodistribution and pharmacodynamics\nOncolytic virus therapy – fighting cancer with good bugs\n\nIf you would like to learn more about the concept and background of the PK/PD Expert Meeting\, please read its Charter available on the website. \n  \n\n\n\n	Announcement \nThe registration for the meeting is open and is exclusively possible via the following link: www.pkpd-expertentreffen.de. \nAll further information including the agenda and the differentiated registration fees can also be found there by end of January 2019. A limited number of young PK/PD scientists (doctorate student and post-doctoral fellow level) can apply to be supported by waiving the participation fee. \nPlease note that the number of participants is limited. Your confirmed registration therefore does not only depend on the time of registration\, but also on the receipt of payment of the registration fee. Registrations without payment within 4 weeks are considered cancelled and the space will be offered to colleagues on the waiting list. \n\n\n\n\n	Awards \nSince 2012\, generous donations have enabled the Organizing Committee of the PK/PD Expert Meeting to reward outstanding contributions by young scientists to the PK/PD field with the: \nYoung scientists: Hans-Günter Schäfer Award \nSince 2012 generous donations have enabled the Organizing Committee of the PK/PD Expert Meeting to reward outstanding contributions to the PK/PD field by young scientists with the Hans Günter Schäfer Award (cash amount of 1\,000 EUR plus free meeting participation incl. travel expenses) issued in memory of the original initiator of the PK/PD Expert Meeting. Doctorate students and young scientists\, who want to apply for this award\, send their manuscript published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal as a pdf file by February 15th\, 2019 to Dr. Barbara Schug (barbara.schug ( a t ) socratec-pharma.de). The winner of the award will have the opportunity to present her or his work during the meeting and will be announced on the website of the PK/PD Expert Meeting. \nMaster / PhD students: – best presentation award – SocraTec R&D 20 years anniversary sponsoring \nIn 2019 as a special event a limited number of young PK/PD scientists (master thesis students and doctorate students) will have the chance to give short presentations followed by a short discussion with the auditorium. Master thesis students and doctorate students\, who want to apply for this award\, send an abstract of their presentation by February 15th\, 2019 to Dr. Barbara Schug (barbara.schug ( a t ) socratec-pharma.de) for selection of invitation. All invited presenters will participate free of charge (incl. accommodation). The best presenter will be honored and will receive the “Young Scientist Best Presentation Award” endowed with 200 EUR plus reimbursement of travel expenses.
